Sheriff’s Office Searching for Suspect in Smoke Shop Robbery

San Juan County, NM - On Thursday August 8, 2013 at approximately 1620 hrs, San Juan County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the Still Smokin Smoke Shop. Upon arrival, deputies learned that the shop had been robbed at gunpoint by a single suspect.

The male suspect, was described as about 5 foot 8 inches tall and medium weight. “He was dressed in a black t-shirt, dark blue jeans, brown work boots and had a black glove on his right hand,” said San Juan County Sergeant Alan Jamison. “The suspect was also wearing a white off-road motorcycle type helmet with the mouth protector. The mouth protector extended in front of the mouth and he wore goggles which obscured his facial features.”

The suspect entered the business through the front door and left the area on a red four-wheeler going north on County Road 3160. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the suspect. The suspect took approximately $1000 from the register but did not remove any product from the store.
