The San Juan County Sheriff’s Office is now a participant in the New Mexico VINE (Victim Information and Notification Everyday) program. This program allows victims of crime and other concerned citizens to register to be notified by phone, email or TTY device when certain changes occur to an inmate’s custody status.
VINE allows crime victims to have access to the most current information available regarding their offenders, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. The VINE system provides offender information over the telephone, email, internet and through mobile apps. It allows crime victims, who register, to be notified anytime that offender is released or transferred.
Crime victims have the right to know the whereabouts of their offenders. Through VINE, crime victims can receive reassurance as to where their offenders are located.
Anyone interested in receiving offender information or registering in order to be notified anytime the offender is released or transferred, are encouraged to call 1-877-551-5463 or CLICK HERE. It is a free service and no type of fee is charged to anyone who uses the VINE system. The victim can place unlimited calls to the VINE system and will remain anonymous at all times.
