Region II Agents dismantle a Methamphetamine trafficking organization

On Monday 01/27/114 agents from Region II finished a four-month investigation into a meth bustMethamphetamine trafficking organization operating in the area.  The leader of this group was identified as 29-year-old Casey Stallings.  Mr. Stallings has an extensive criminal record and is believed to be the main supplier for a group of individuals who traffic the Methamphetamine in the four corners area.

A search warrant for his residence at 17B CR 6255 in Kirtland was obtained Monday evening.

Due to the violent history and the belief of firearms in the residence Region II requested the assistance of Sheriff’s Office SWAT to serve the warrant.  Stallings and 3 others were taken into custody without incident.

Agents recovered 1.7 pounds of methamphetamine, 10 grams of heroin, 5 prescription pills, a small amount of marijuana and a stolen handgun.  Also seized was $3,700 cash.

Stalling and his girlfriend 24-year-old Jessica Lucero were booked into the San Juan County Detention center.  Stallings is booked on charges of trafficking methamphetamine, possession of heroin, felon in possession of a firearm and possession of stolen property. Lucero’s charges are trafficking methamphetamine, possession of heroin, possession of a dangerous drug, felon in possession of a firearm, possession of stolen property and a probation violation.

31-year-old William Gann was also located inside the residence where he was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and heroin.  He was booked on those charges and a warrant for a probation violation.

Due to the large amount of methamphetamine, the firearm and the criminal history of Stallings and Lucero this case will be presented to Homeland Security Investigations and the US Attorney’s office for federal prosecution.
