About Records Division

The Records Division of the San Juan County Sheriff’s Office performs a variety of functions in its mission to collect, process, file and maintain a wide variety of documents received and generated by the department.

Citizens may request copies of offense reports, traffic crash reports; background checks and fingerprinting.  The San Juan County Sheriff’s Office has three locations, to better serve the residents and visitors to our county.

• Aztec Sheriff’s Office: The main office is located at 211 S. Oliver in Aztec, N.M. It is at this location that the Sheriff and Undersheriff maintain offices, and where most of the day-to-day direction of the department is conducted.  The main phone number is 334-6107 and the fax number is 334-6745.
• Kirtland Substation: The Kirtland substation is at the western end of the county at No. 6 CR 6360. The telephone number is 334-6107 and the fax number is 598-9358.
• Lee Acres Substations The Lee Acres substation is located at No. 21 CR 5500, near McGee Park, San Juan County’s fairgrounds. The telephone number is 334-6107 and the fax number is 632-7127.

Clerks are available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. All offices are closed during the lunch hour.
