In August 2013 Deputy Chad Langley and Deputy Josh Lynn were dispatched to the Giant Convenience store on Highway 64 in reference to a person down and in need. When they arrived they found the gentleman on the ground and unable to breathe as a result of an apparent overdose.
Langley and Lynn immediately took control of scene. Working as a team, they assessed the situation and cleared the man’s airways. Then they applied a breathing apparatus into his airways and began CPR until the medics arrived. After several minutes a pulse was detected.
The man was rushed to the hospital and because of their quick and skillful knowledge the individual suffered no lasting affects and was released from the hospital shortly after.
Both Langley and Lynn are dedicated to serving their community and this event is a testament to their hard work and devotion.
On a daily basis our police officers risk their own lives to protect the people of our community. Very rarely do we take the time to recognize the men and women that spend their lives serving others. Today, on behalf of Woods Insurance, we honor the heroic efforts of Chad Langley and Josh Lynn and thank them for all they do for to make our county safe!
