San Juan County, NM - On Friday 9/07/2012 deputies from the Sheriff’s Office and members of the US Marshall’s Task Force were involved in a surveillance operation. The surveillance was for suspect Jeremiah Harriott (age 34, of Farmington NM) regarding the kidnapping and robbery of Jessica Evenson on 08/12/2012.
The surveillance team observed Harriott getting into a vehicle at an apartment complex in Farmington. Harriott was arrested without incident and booked on his warrant related to his role in this case.
His charges consist of: 1) Kidnapping to inflict death, physical injury or a sexual offense (a 1st degree felony); 2) Conspiracy to commit Kidnapping to inflict death, physical injury or a sexual offense (a 2nd degree felony); 3) Armed Robbery (a 2nd degree felony); 4) Conspiracy to commit Armed Robbery (a 3rd degree felony); 5) Aggravated Battery (great bodily harm) (a 3rd degree felony); and 6) Tampering with Evidence (when highest crime is a 1st or 2nd degree felony) (a 3rd degree felony).
